SEASON 11: SM24 (THE REVIEW); EPISODE 5:New Comers

Welcome forth, Sonny Cox!

You’d think that we were out here purchasing Mbappe…

Today marks a day where we get to explain one of our most important elements when it comes to making transfers: Does said player fit, and how?

Alright, so we have a home-grown youngster who can do a job for us as a back up player and 4th choice F(C). Alongside Matheus Cunha, Hwang Hee-chan, and the returning Fábio Silva (whom we also brought back from his loan stint in Scotland). We have 4 decent Forwards with at least two of them good enough to play for any of the ‘big 6’ if they ever needed a back up player...
Both Hwang and Matheus are similar players who bring basically the same thing to a game in their ability to play multiple roles in the same match, while Fábio is our ‘Technical Target Man’ who excels at link up play and creativity. What we lacked the most is an out and out ‘Finisher’ who will stay on the shoulders of the opposition’s back line in an attempt to stretch them and create space for his teammates in addition to seeking to score goals himself. Based on what we currently see within his attributes, Sonny is obviously still developing but has the right traits of a proper ‘Finisher’. So, we’re definitely looking forward to helping him with his development!
Oooooo, we’ve got ourself a prize! 😋
Here we take a look at our Youth Academy! A set of youngsters whom could possibly become superstars of the 29/30 season! Well we hope so, since these ratings don’t bring that much hope… 😅
A part of choosing our first team is that there were quite a few players that we’ve chosen to bring back from loan spells since the intention was to never sign any first team players. Unfortunately, once you’ve chosen to send a player out on loan they are immediately placed as “not needed by the club” and will therefore be requesting a newer role for the sake of their morale…
This lad right here will possibly play an important role on the right hand side of our back 3, but for now we’ll give him a ‘rotation role’ since we don’t want to get his hopes up too high then next thing he doesn’t perform to expectations…
We’ve got International Management offers! 😯
Although tempting, we have 0 intentions of becoming an International Manager anytime soon. Our sole focus for now is to do everything to keep Wolves within the top tier… 🤞
Our final Pre-season friendly is underway! We’ve got quite an intriguing opposition in the Italian side Fiorentina… 🤔
This decision might surprise many of you Soccermanagerites, but once we’ve picked a squad we tend to stay with our decision regardless of overall rating. Bruno Jordão may have a indistinguishably low overall rating of 65, but he has the right kind of attributes that will make him affective as a rotational/ back up option…

Think this is a good area to end today’s episode. When majority of Managers choose to flood their team with world class players, we advise that you do the opposite since the challenge is what’s going to allow you to develop your Managerial capabilities!!! 💯
