SEASON 11: SM24 (THE REVIEW); EPISODE 3: More of the same, pls…

We ended episode 2 via explaining that we may have to go against our very own rule of never bringing in any new signings during the first season, but it turns out that one of our Forwards doesn’t quite fit the bill in terms of what we’re looking for, therefore our hands have been tied…

But before we go into who our 4th choice F(C) will be, there are some comparisons that need to be done, so let’s check out what we’ve got going on, today.

After our first pre-season match against Swansea City, we now land on the ‘Manager’s page’ where we get to choose the type of Manager that we want to be within SM24. We’ve already explained the different types of Managers and their pros and cons back in Season 5; Episode 16, but we’re glad to see that we’ve been granted another brief explanation of all 3 as well as the extra boosts that each provide…
“Transfer season” is well under way and buzzing with the likes of Balde, Odegaard, Çalhanoğlu, and Tchouameni all having speculation about their future with their respective clubs… 🍿
One of the most important aspects of any football game, the finances ensure that the club are being ran steadily and like we explained in our review of SM23, a football club is essentially a “loss based business” which means that they tend to have more expenses than income during the day to day operation but are able to stay afloat due to the end of year compensations such as finishing position, TV rights, sponsorship bonuses, cup competitions and many more. It’s pretty nice to see that both the layout for the ‘Finance page’ has stayed the same like SM23, and Wolves are currently in a healthy financial situation (albeit its only pre season, so expect things to start getting really red in a bit)…
Here we have an announcement of the opportunity to become an International Manager with teams such as Oman, Slovenia, and Burkina Faso all in the mixture, but we have no intention of becoming an International Manager anytime soon…
Ohp, it looks like we have a loan bid for one of our players!
The player in question is the Spaniard Hugo Bueno, a technically good ‘Wingback’ who just so happens to be way behind the pecking order and is considered “surplus to requirements” at this time. We’ve also placed him on the ‘transfer list’ since he simply doesn’t fit our style, and there’s no way of him getting past Aït-Nouri as our second choice DM(L)!
The training section is as typical and intriguing as ever with Wolves having a multitude of up and comers who are aiming to become the next best thing out of the “Black Country”…
That’s right, Mikel! Training is indeed the best way to keep improving the lads! 💯
And just like that we’ve gotten our first injury set back… Like we said in episode 2, these singular mode games have some sort of fetish for injured players, and we expect that mishaps like this are going to be quite the norm throughout the season.

Now then, we think we’ve got some phone calls to make… 📱
