What are we up to indeed….. Welcome one and all to our latest installation into the only Soccer blogging content that brings both entertainment and education all wrapped up in a 5 minute or less bonazna of a read šŗ šŗ šŗ.
Today begins another venture into a new territory… A territory that we can safely say will be the very first of its kind (especially during the recent history of our beloved blog). We are discussing the singular player mode jauggernaut, SM24, with all of the brilliance that it provides! š
Ever since our newest installation came out back in October of 2023, it has been well revered as a one of a kind type of game and considered by many Soccermanagerites all over the globe as one of the best in terms of the history of the singular mode productions, so far (SM15,16,17, and the whole lot).
In this season we will be checking out some of the ‘Player Attributes’ that are of the most integral when it comes to understanding the type of player that you have at your disposal without anymore confusion pertaining what a player brings specifically to your tactical equation (we’ve been seeing too many of that confusion recently…). Now, rather than going over each attribute individually (which is something that we already discussed in great detail back in season 4), this time around we’ll be using a bit of randomization via choosing 20 players with varying styles and approaches to the beautiful game to see if their attributes are on point for the way in which they play in real life.
P.S: Each player has been randomly picked for the entertainment of both you and us. I hope you’re ready to be surprised… š
Now then, can player 1 within this season, COME ON DOWN!!!
PETER GULĆSCI

A player that was soooo close to being considered as a RB Leipzig legend, the Hungarian international is one of the stalwarts who has represented the German club for an extended period of time and remains one of their most influential members within the dressing room, albeit as a leader since his number 1 spot has been coveted by Janis Blaswich.
Let’s see what we can expect from GulĆ”csi within SM24 (as well as SMW)!
SM24 ATTRIBUTES

Here is where the main premise of this season will come to the front of the cue, as we take a look at a player whose overall rating means that he will be a steady pair of hands who is more than capable when it comes to keeping the ball out of his net.
TECHNICAL ATTRIBUTES

In order to be representing a team like RB Leipzig, you’ll need to be quite soild with the ball at your feet no matter where on the pitch you’re playing and as we can see, GulĆ”sci has some decent ratings in every technical region where he can be impactful from a GKing point of view. We do believe that there is one aspect of his game that should’ve been improved based on how he actually plays in real life and we’ll be diving into that exact attribute increase within the next image…
WHAT WE THINK

Like we’ve said earlier, when it comes to playing for a team like Leipzig who take a lot of pride in developing technically nuanced players, then you’ll understand why we’ve chosen to increase GulĆ”csi’s Distribution attribute to a ’75’ instead of a ’71’. It is arguably one of the areas of his game that rarely gets the recognition it deserves, and he is a player that does a very good job at ensuring that possession is always being circulated…
PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES

When it comes to the physicality of GK’s (in particular) it is necessary to pay extra attention to it since a GK’s physical attributes are a make and break for their ability as an elite level shot-stopper. In terms of Mr.GulĆ”sci, he’s at a decent level which means that he can do a job for whomever he is contracted to. Unfortunately for him, RB Leipzig boss Marco Rose has other things on his mind (or should we say, other players)…
WHAT WE THINK
There aren’t many of his attributes that need to be changed, so the only difference between what he was given and our final overview is the increasing of his Aerial Ability by 2.

MENTAL ATTRIBUTES

As we should already be aware of, the mental attributes for every Keeper (well, every player as a matter fact) is arguably the most important one since it showcases a player’s resilience and character on the pitch. Peter showcases yet again a set of decent attributes, in particular his Leadership capabilities, but some of the other attributes like Concentration are not on the level to be playing for a team like Leipzig who have the intention of challenging for the Bundesliga, as well as getting into the RO16 of the Champions League, at a minimum. Soooooo, I guess that’s why he’s been replaced? š š¤·
WHAT WE THINK

Please be aware that this is only episode one, so the main fun ain’t gonna be occurring straight out the gate… But we hope that you have enjoyed today’s episode and we can’t wait to have you back for the next one (which is a surprise…. š¤«).
