From talking about one Real Madrid Legend to discussing a potential new one, we take a look at who many believe is the heir to Ronaldo and Messi (and I’m one of them): The French Mega star, Kylian Mbappe. 🇫🇷
Kylian started out his career in Paris where he was a youngster playing for his Father’s youth team, AS Bondy. It has been said that his Dad really pushed him to train incredibly hard and it was no surprise when he eventually signed for AS Monaco to join their youth team set up. But amazingly, Mbappe was too good for the youth team and after a few reserve team matches, he was sent straight to the first team and became an instant Key Player which was down to his absolutely devilish pace, and incredible 1v1 finising. He then joined PSG back in 2017 where he’s grown from strength to strength, becoming the talisman for both club and county (as we clearly saw during the world cup), and is now highly regarded as football’s next poster boy.
I absolutely love watching him play and am truly looking forward to seeing how Kylian continues to get on because he’s simply too good for Ligue 1 and I’m hoping that he moves to Madrid sooner rather than later.

Kylian is a perfect example of a player who only possesses a few elite level traits but is so elite at said traits that it makes him the most difficult player to handle. He is the fastest player in the game and the other traits ensure that he will be a constant menace throughout the entrie 90 ( although I personally believe that his ‘Dribbling should be higher)
BEST ROLES
Kylian specifies in 4 different roles with his playing style slightly switching up based on the way you want him to play:
First off, we have Kylian the ‘Wide Forward’ who’s all about scoring and getting into the box. Next, we have Kylian the ‘Explosive Winger’ who runs circles around opposition Fullbacks (in fact, Mbappe is one of the best 1v1 dribblers in the game right now)………His next 2 preffered roles are when he is tasked as playing as your main F(C), and those 2 roles are as a ‘Finisher’ where he uses his ridiculous pace to get in behind of defenders, or as a ‘General Forward’ who simply does whatever he wants to and goes wherever he sees fit Kylian is quite the versatile player in terms of his tactical intelligence, which means that you can play him upfront with another Forward and he will still maintain his World Class capabilies. Just make sure that he has the right F(C) next to him…
HOW TO BEST USE HIM
It’s been well documented that Kylian wants to be given as much freedom as possible, so he prefers to play off the left next to a specific type of F(C) that we’ll be talking about shortly…
WHO ARE THE BEST TEAMATES?
 
Kylian’s best position will allow him to start off the left and not play with his back to goal (which is something that he doesn’t want to do). So, you will need to have a ‘Playmaker’ in the middle of the park dictating things, a ‘Wingback’ if he’s playing as your ‘Wide Forward’, or a ‘Fullback’ if he’s playing as your ‘Explosive Winger’. But, most importantly, you will require a ‘Target Man’ up front who has great hold up play Whenever you decide to play Kylian in his preffered role off the left ( in my opinion), you have to consider the fact that he still wants to be the guy that you rely upon. Therefore, he requires a Target Man upfront to ‘bounce’ off of, as well as ‘Playmakers’ who are always looking to create chances for him. If you decide to choose the 4-2-3-1 formation, then you should consider the players that you see within the above image, with an added emphasis on when you chose to play him as your ‘Wide Forward’ since all he wants to do is get into goal scoring opportunities which means that he will creativity from different teammatesChoosing to play man like Kylian up front means that you should be only aiming to display that ridiculous pace of his by getting him to run in behind, using his pace as much as he possibly can in order to cause a lot of havoc. A ‘Playmaker’ is going to be crucial no matter where you decide to play him, and, in addition, a ‘BPD’ that has great range of passing will be a huge added bonus Since Kylian can play in two different roles upfront, you’ll have to decide who you want next to him based on your tactical game plan. As you can see, a ‘Target Man’ will be required if Kylian is your ‘GF’, while a ‘DLF’ will be required if you choose to play Kylian as your ‘Finisher
If it’s one thing that I’m looking to is how this guy continues to progress since I personally believe that he’s at an incredible peak so far within his career. And if we take into consideration that he’s already a 96 rated within SMW, I wonder if we’re gonna see the next 99 since Mr Messi way back on 2020.
