Normally, when we are talking about current soccer players who have reached the World Class status within the modern game, they usually all start out as young prospects who were one of the best youth players of their generation and were always destined to become a world beater. It’s safe to say that cannot be considered the path that the guy we’ll be talking about today had. Stay tuned, Soccermanagerite, cause we’ll be discussing today: Tottenham’s very own (now of German decent), Harry Kane.
Kane’s path to the top is as unorthodox as they come, with the England and Spurs record goal scorer not playing a Premer league match until he was 21 years old, and when you consider the fact that the likes of Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen, Andy Cole, and Alan Shearer were all teenage sensations, you start to realize how hard Harry worked on his game in order to become the player that he is today, and WHAT A PLAYER HE IS!!!!!
PLAYER BIO
If you’ve ever had the opportunity to use Kane within SMW, you will already know that he is a certain 20 goal a season F(C) and is one of the most consistent Forwards within the entire game
BEST ATTRIBUTES WITHIN SM24
Harry Kane is the second player from this season who represented season 10 which was a season all about diving into the attributes of 20 different players in an attempt to identify if their attributes within SM24 were correct…
UPDATE: THE SMB WAY
H’s updated SM24 Attributes. Here you can clearly see the difference between this and the above image with attributes such as his Positioning, Long Passing Penalties, Stamina, and Concentration all being added to his best Attributes (according to us). Anyway you look at it, it’s safe to say that Harry is a freaking brilliant player!
BEST ROLES
When it comes to being a creative spark, H is definitely in a league of his own based on his physique and single minded attributes in addition to his goal scoring prowess He’s also a big and strong lad, so that means he has the capability of operating as your ‘Target Man’ but with the caveat of not being just any type…When playing in a front 2, you can choose to use his strengths in either of his preffered roles…
Another thing I have to mention about H is the fact that he is in no form an orthodox ‘Target Man’ who enjoys playing up front alone. So the following formations will stifle his game dramatically:
HOW TO BEST USE HIM
When Harry gets the opportunity to lead the line as well as having players around him who will initiate runs off the ball for him, H will then be at his absolute best! If there’s one aspect of his game that separates him from the rest is his Target Man like strength that can be used to your advantage. You can do so by ticking the ‘Use Target Man’ box even if you’ve tasked him to drop deep. He is the only player who can be utilized in this manner with the other already retired ( I AM ZLATAN! 🦁)
WHO ARE THE BEST TEAMATES?
As a ‘DLF’, Harry will routinely drop deep to get unto the ball and feed the other teammates that he requires alongside him. Out of all of his teammates however, the most important one (when utilizing his skills as a Deep-lying Forward) will be the ‘Box to Box’ Mididfler since this M(C) will allow Harry to drop into the midfield while the B2B makes runs in areas on the pitch to drag opposition players away from the middle third to allow H to start sprayingthose passes Harry is one of the best F(C)’s who can score as well as create for teammates, but you will need to supply him with a lot of off the ball runners. Therefore, a ‘Wide Forward’ and ‘Wingbacks’ will be needed since they provide most of the off the ball movement that will allow Harry to both get good service coming from outside, but also be able to provide for his attacking partners. Whenever you’ve chosen to tick the U.T.M box, this is the indication that you want him to play like a ‘Technical Target Man’ (unless you’ve pointed his arrow, of course)Harry is indeed one of the modern day F(C)’s that prefers to be played as the main Striker, but his range of creativity means that he is more than comfortable playing in a front 2 partnership. To ensure that you get him at his best, the player next to him must be a speedy attacker who is a willing runner and has great movement
Harry Kane is one of the best F(C)’s in the game, and I am really hoping that he enters into his 30’s with a couple of trophies to his name since this is the only thing he’s yet to accomplish so far within his career.
The following episodes (including this one) should be an absolute treat since we will be discussing 3 players of the same position, the same world class status, but completely different in terms of their playing style.
