Although I currently work with this company, I feel like there’s no other choice but to keep it real in terms of my perception of how Invincible Studios thinks about CR7…. Honestly, I think that they’re not as big of fans of him compared to Messi. And this has been going on way long before CR7’s move to AL Nassir. This started way back in 2015, when both Messi and CR7 were in their prime. The big debacle at that time was converting Cristiano from a 98 rated player to a 99 (just like Messi), but they persisted and persisted, and it was only until Real Madrid’s trio of Champions league wins that saw him finally hit that 99 mark. If we take it into consideration the current scenario where, as soon as Ronnie left Europe, his ratings started to plummet, you now start to see what I mean…

If you needed more evidence, the fact that Ronaldo is no longer in the game is quite a key indicator of what I was just saying…. Therefore, The SMB had to do some improvisation and use what is our second variant for determining how a player will play based on his attributes. And that second variation is Fifa’s Futhead
The only items on here that I have a problem with are his ‘Pace’ (should be higher) and his ‘Strength’ (should be higher)
BEST ROLES
A lot of managers believe that all world class attackers should be able to play in a variety of different roles, but that can’t be further from the truth. Some are quite similar to Cristiano in that they only shine in one or 2 roles, and this is exactly what we will be seeing throughout today’s episodeYou’ve probably seen all of the “complaints” pertaining CR7’s lack of pressing, so I persoanlly believe that most matches will be suited for him to operate as your “Finisher” His second best role is as a ‘General Forward’ who has the ability to roam around a bit in order to do what he thinks is right, but I don’t personally think he is at his best in this role, but CR7 may beg to differ…. (actually, this was one of the reasons behind him not fitting in under E.T.H since he wanted to be a ‘GF’,while E.T.H wanted him to stay upfront as a ‘Finisher’
HOW TO BEST USE HIM
I stand by what I say in terms of CR7’s best usage being not giving him a lot of responsibilities other than simply scoring goals, pressing less and being surrounded by a support cast who only want to feed him the ball. If you get this right (which I’ll be helping you to do) he’ll score record breaking goals, soccermanagerites!
WHO ARE THE BEST TEAMATES?
One of the beauties of having a player that only specializes in a few roles is the fact that you don’t really need to have a lot of different players in order to get him to tick. In the case of the GOAT, if you choose to play him as your ‘General Forward’ in a front 3, he will need a ‘Wide Forward’ off the flank who will run into the vacated central positions that Ronaldo will leave open; if you choose to play him as your ‘Finisher’ in the same formation, then he will need players providing him service which is why a -‘Winger’ will be more beneficial. The other teammates (‘Playmaker’ and a ‘Wingback’) will be mandatory no matter what formation you choose to use When Ronnie is playing up front alone (Especially in the 4-2-3-1 variations) you will have the potential of getting him at his absolute best, but he will need a lot of service which is why the key teammates will be players who are more on the creative end, looking to give Ronnie as much chances as they possibly canIf you’re someone who likes to be innovative, you can try playing Ronnie as your ‘GF’ in a 4-2-3-1A formation, but his teammates will be of even a higher importance since the set up will be unorthodox compared to how you will normally use him. The reason why he will need a ‘BWM’ is due to all of the rotations that will be taking place which means that you’ll need at least one player mopping things up within the midfield If I’m being completely honest, CR7 is better equipped at playing up front alone, but it’s this selfishness that has allowed him to score 800+ goals throughout the entirety of his career. Soccermanager is a game that allows you improvise however, so if you were to play him in a Front 2 he will need either a ‘GF’ next to him in order to have the both of them floating around, or you will need a ‘DLF’ beside him to feed him the ball as your ‘Finisher‘
He may be 38 years old, at a ’93’ rating and playing in Saudi Arabia, but goals and greatness do not lie, and until the day he decides to wrap up his boots and call it quits on his career, Ronnie will always be a goal scoring machine within SMW wether he’s rated 93 or 85. We just have to pair him with the right teammates.
