After the previous 2 episodes, I’m sure you’re in a position where you understand what is going on in terms of how your team makes and spends the consistent cash that is always flowing after each week. It was quite a lot to go over and today we will aim to bring you back off your “Financial high horse”. As we go over something that’s a bit easier to grasp….
PROJECTION
The Projection area on the Finances page is where you are able to locate the total balance that is expected after you calculate your club’s income and expenses after the end of the season. Remember that this amount will continuously fluctuate based on how your team performs on a week to week basis and this is only a projected number for the season. So, in human words (lol), this is where you add and subtract both figures and obtain the final income amount that is expected once you keep up your current momentum throughout the season. (Uhhhh, I don’t know if both explanations are any different 🤷♂️ 😅)
As you can see, we have an Income and Expenditure column where there are certain assets and expenses that we will be obtaining the difference from. In the corner of the Income, we have the Ticket Revenue, Commercial (any income obtained via everything that occurs off the pitch such as sponsorship, merchandise, club media deals etc.), Prize Money amount, and Cash Injection from your rich Billionaire owner. The Expenses are Player Wages, Facility Expenses, Administration and Out-going transfers.
The total for both is placed here in the above image. The income amount at this moment of the season is at $87.5M, with the Expenditure being at $67.5M. Which means that the club is currently in a good place financially with a current profit of $20M. Let’s end today’s episode with a look at the expected prize money that will be obtained from the current competiton that my club (Brighton) are currently participating in. Based on where we currently are within the table (with not a single ball kicked), we’ll be rewarded with a prize money amount of $26M if we maintain our “5th” place position at the end of the seaon, with a further $6M being added to this amount if we end up somehow beating Manchester City (Actually De Bruyne and Haaland and the others…) to the Premier League title. That has to be a mistake since it makes NOOOOO sense that the 5th place team can be $6M away from obtaining what the best team within the league has received….
Anywho, we’ll wrap up seaon 5 tomorrow with our decision on who will be our upcoming sponsors for the 22/23 season! 😎
