SEASON 5: Soccermanager 23; Episode 17: MANAGER (PT.3)

What’s up soccermanagerite, ready for another fantastic epiosde? Awesome, let’s get straight into it:

MANAGERIAL ATTRIBUTES

One of my favorite things about this game is the fact that we have our own attributes which determines our managerial progress throughout our career. Each attribute is dependent on your preffered style of management and the performance of the players within your various clubs will have an impact on how you progress. I also have to mention that your style of management (Training, Suit or Tactical) will also impact how you progress with specific attributes, but let’s get into a brief definition of each:

Training Goalkeepers: This is your ability to to improve the current Goalkeepers within the squad

Training Defenders: Your ability to improve every Defender within your squad and ofcourse the Defenders are considered your Centre Backs and FullBacks

Training Midfielders: The ability to improve every Midfielder within your Squad with the Midfielders being your Central Midfielders, Central Attacking Midfielders and Left and Right Midfielders

Training Attackers: Your ability to improve the Attackers within your team who are your Centre Forwards and Wingers

Man Management: Your ability to get the most out of individual players as well as how you handle certain scenarios that will occur such as player concerns, player disciplianry actions, talking about player to the press and much more

Conditioning: This will be the level of your current Fitness staff’s ability to keep the players in good shape

Injury Prevention: The ability of your current Medical Staff to ensure that players are well taken care of and not constanlty on the injury table

Transfer Negotiator: Your ability to help out with incoming transfer negotiations. This is a trait that primarily benefits a Suit Manager

Wage Negotiator: Your ability to assist in a current player’s contractual negotiations. Again, another attribute that benefits a Suit Manager

Sponsorship: This is the ability to attact lucrative sponsorship deals and although a Suit Manager has the ability to gain better deals due to his financial prowess, this attribute is solely increased via your performances on the pitch and within your club’s trophy cabinet.

Merchandise: Both merch and sponsorships work hand in hand so the same thing applies for this one.

The Attributes don’t end here since there is also the option of manually increasing each via the use of Manager points. In order to do this you will have to click on where it says “Attributes”

You will be brought to the following page:

Here we have an image of the option to increase each attibutes manually via the use of Manager Points (located at the bottom left of the screen). It’s up to you on what you choose to increrase, but like I said in episode 14, I am a big believer in making SM23 as realsitic as possible and therefore will attempt to make sure that my progress is done according to how the team performs on the pitch. So, for example, if my Attackers are not scoring enough goals but my Defenders have been solid, I’ll increase the ‘Training Defender attribute’ more than I’ll increase the ‘Training Attacker’

And with that, we come to the end of today’s episode. Join us tomorrow as we’ll be taking a look at the second half of the page 👍
