Welcome back to Episode 3 of season 5 mate! Let’s get straight into it as we’ll be taking a look at the ‘Overview’ page on SM 23.
In order to compleley understand everything on this page, I will highlight the area I am talking about with a light red circular line so keep an eye out for it.
First things first, if we look at the top of the screen, we’ll be able to see the name of our club, our manager name (as well as our manager level), our SM boosts which can be used to increase player morale or reduce player injuries, SM Credit which can be used to get more cash, and the club’s current available balance which can be used to purchase players, improve club facilities etc. The ‘continue’ button is also up here and it’s where we go to move on within our career
Benath this, we have our club’s next fixture, the date and time of the fixture, where the fixture will be played, a list of our following 3 matches, and the current league table
Beaneath this, we have the ‘SPOTLIGHT’ area where we managers can purchase players who are currently available at a discounted amount, as well as an offer to purchase a bundle of SM credit, cash and boosts. Personally, I never waste my time purchasing players on spotlight since I prefer to develop the current players already in my squad. But if this is your thing then you always have the option of purchasing potential star players for a discounted amount.
To the right of the screen, we see our beloved Stadium (since I’m the Brighton manager it’s the AMEX stadium) where we can upgrade certain areas on the stadium to turn it into a larger capacity stadium which helps to bring in more reveneue for the club. There is also another shortcut to the ‘manager page’
To the far left of our screen, we have the very important ‘tasks’ area where we will be notified of all the different tasks that must be done as the manager of our club. I always advise that every manager seek to do any of these firsts thing first since just seeing those notifications can become a burden when you’re in the midst of a challenging season, and it’s also our responsibility to ensure that everything is well taken care of.
