SEASON 4: PLAYER ROLES ; EPISODE 3: PLAYER ATTRIBUTES PT.2

No intro for this episode as we’re diving straight into the good stuff. Lets get it:

Dribbling: A player’s ability to get pass an opposition defender or a group of defenders. There are 2 different types of dribblng: Technical dribbling and Speed dribbling.

Technical dribblers are players who possess the ability to dribble past opponents in tight spaces using body feints, close control, and ball mastery skills. A player’s technical dribbling ability is linked to their Control, Flair and Creativity . Examples of Technical dribblers are Mahrez, Pedri, and Frenkie De Jong.

Speed Dribblers are players who possess the ability to dribble past defenders with explosive speed, trickery, and footwork. Speed dribblers thrive in 1v1 situatons and are always looking to get themselves isolated against a defender. They can also dribble through a crowd of players using their explosive ability which makes them incredibly difficult to stop once they reach top speed with the ball at their feet. A player’s speed dribbling ability is linked to their Pace and Flair. Examples of Speed dribblers are Ousmane Dembele, Bellingham, and Lukaku.

Long shots: A player’s ability to take accurate shots from the edge of the penalty box to 30 yards away from the opponent’s goal.

Crossing: The ability of a player to send accurate balls into the box from wide positions that find an attacking teammate

Control: This is the gauge of a player’s first touch
