SEASON 3: FORMATION MATTERSEpisode 17: The 4’s series (4-5-1B)

On to the next Formation within out series, the 4-5-1B is the ‘sibling’ of the 4-5-1A with the only difference being that the 4-5-1B is abit more defensive minded. The 5 man midfield is exactly the same as the one found within the 3-5-2 formation. The 4-5-1B is another formation that is very great for being difficult to beat, but it’s weakness is the lack of attacking threat it provides. I won’t go over any pros and cons for this espisode because we’ve already discussed them in the 4-5-1A episode. I still believe that this formation has its uses and should not be balked at just because of its lack of attacking nuance.

Image of the 4-5-1 B within SM 23. As you can see, the major difference between this formation and the ‘A’ version is that this one occupies more numbers within the midfield thus making it the more defensive out of both 4-5-1 formations.
