You have NOOOO idea how much this season brings me joy and excitement in abundance! Let me give you a quick back story. About 3 years ago, I started this journey of soccermanager blogging, but I was only uploading blog posts on Facebook. These were the first type of blogs I would write about. I called it the ‘Formation Matters’ series where I went into detail about every formation found on SM. It didn’t go well (in terms of engagement), but after I completed the series I felt so proud of myself for doing it and my love (despite what you read in last season’s finale) for this game grew stronger and stronger. Fast forward to today, and this series has made a return with the twist of me having 3 more years of soccer manager experience plus a little bit of an audience ( shout out to everyone whose been sending me emails and dm’s. I really appreciate y’all).
Basically, what we’ll be doing in this season is going over EVERY formation found within soccermamager, discussing pros and cons, as well as showing some images of real life teams playing in said formation. Some formations have different types ( for example, 433A and 433B) and these ones in particular are the main reason for me creating this season. It may seem like they’re the exact same formation but they are VERY different and it’s imperative that every soccermanagerite has a foundational understanding of each formation and what makes them so unique.
I have to say that there’s 28 different formations in soccermanager so we’re gonna be here for a while… I’ll attempt to increase the number of times I upload weekly as there’s even more seasons coming up after this one so stay tuned!
